Our mission is to give second chances to abandoned, abused, and neglected animals by providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services. We promote animal well-being through foster programs, behavioral training, education on responsible pet ownership—and by offering supportive services for pet professionals that reinforce our long-term sustainability and community impact.

Our Mission

We envision a world where every animal is valued, cared for, and placed in a loving home. By combining rescue efforts with wellness education and professional development opportunities, we work to reduce pet homelessness, advocate for animal welfare, and empower pet guardians and industry partners alike to make a lasting difference.

Our Vision

Our Team

Furever Friends Rescue and Wellness is powered by a group of passionate, dog-loving women who bring their wisdom, heart, and hustle to every part of the mission. Each member volunteers their time and talents to help bring FFRW to life—and keep it thriving in the world of rescue, one paw at a time.

Megan Buldain & Ruby

After 10 years in healthcare HR, Megan followed her heart into animal rescue. What began as one foster quickly turned into a life-changing mission—and three foster fails later, she’s never looked back. As a hands-on leader, Megan balances strategy with heart, creativity with action, and coffee with chaos. When she’s not rescuing dogs, she’s volunteering with her kids at Piper’s Pantry and squeezing in as many audiobooks as possible.

Ruby is three years old and full-time menace—always in someone’s business, usually stealing a toy, and absolutely the culprit if something’s been shredded. But beneath the chaos is a total sweetheart who adores snuggles, loves the kids, and snores like a grown man. She’s wild, lovable, and ours forever.

Megan Dashley & Chase

Megan is a former cosmetologist turned entrepreneur who discovered her passion for rescue work while volunteering at a local shelter. With a gift for social media and a heart for the underdog, she now dedicates her time to fundraising, advocacy, and helping dogs find their second chance. She’s also the founder of Bonnie’s Bridge, a nonprofit focused on behavioral support and rescue partnerships—proving that when passion meets purpose, amazing things happen.

Chase is a 4-ish-year-old bulldog with Bengal stripes and zero ambition. A lazy loaf with a loud snore and a heart of gold, he’s fiercely loyal, food-obsessed, and always glued to his mama’s side.

Tracy Samuel & Coby

Tracy brings 27 years of banking experience and a decade of animal rescue advocacy to the board. She’s passionate about keeping pets in loving homes and created the Clermont County Pet Resource Connection to connect local families with affordable pet care, food, and support. A proud rescue mom and volunteer with Piper’s Pantry, Tracy prefers to work behind the scenes—building relationships, solving problems, and quietly making a big impact.

Coby is a 12-year-old Lab mix and the wise old soul of the household. Rescued from a euthanasia list, he’s now living the good life—gently patrolling the yard with his yellow jolly ball, requesting affection only when he feels like it, and quietly reminding everyone who’s really in charge.

Nicole Schmitt & Princess Jamison

Nicole is a 23-year teaching veteran who brings her love for learning, leadership, and dogs into every corner of rescue work. What started as shelter volunteering quickly turned into a passion for fundraising and fostering. She now serves on multiple rescue boards, partners with Spoil Em Rotten Pet Enrichment, and is always looking for new ways to help dogs find—and stay in—loving homes.

J is a sweet and sassy pittie mix who went from shelter foster to full-blown family royalty. She’s playful, loving, and just bossy enough to keep her doodle siblings in check. Peanut butter is her love language—and snuggles are non-negotiable.

Carrie Keller & Piper & Lily

Carrie brings 25 years of accounting and finance experience to FFRW, with a background spanning global companies, local businesses, and now a university setting. She’s the founder of Piper’s Pantry, an advisory board member for the Spoil Em Rotten Foundation, and a dedicated volunteer at Second Chance Dog Ranch. A lifelong rescue advocate, every dog in Carrie’s life has found her—sometimes when she wasn’t even looking. She’s passionate about responsible pet ownership and believes spaying, neutering, and vaccinating are key to solving the shelter crisis. Known for her love of big, goofy Lab mixes and her behind-the-scenes magic, Carrie blends strategy, heart, and a guilty pleasure for bad reality TV to help make rescue work happen.

Piper and Lily are the resident Lab mixes who run the household with equal parts love and sass. Piper joined the family after being passed over by four other adopters—thanks to an unfortunate skunk incident—and sealed the deal by climbing right into Carrie’s lap. She’s been by her side ever since, usually snuggled up with her beloved, battle-worn stuffed moose, Chrismoose. Lily, the older and wiser of the two, tolerates her sister’s chaos with grace—and occasionally removes Chrismoose’s limbs just to keep things interesting. These two are the heart of the home and a reminder that life is simply better with dogs.
